"As a freshman at Kalani, I felt lost at a big school. My older sister, Kani, who had just graduated from Kalani, told me about YFC's CORE club. She said that this club changed her life. She still serves as a YFC leader. I decided to give it a chance and since the first day I entered the doors I knew God was giving me a place to belong and to feel loved. I learned about the character of God. I felt at home and a part of God's family. The YFC leaders supported me through my struggles, often prayed with me and listened when it was hard for me to share. In fact, YFC club was so amazing that I invited my friend Dana. She lives with just her mom and we can relate because we sometimes deal with the same feelings of not being loved by our earthly father. Dana has never met her dad.

We became part of the leadership team for the YFC Core club. Now I am going back to church and even though my relationship with my dad is very difficult, I know that God will help me love and forgive him.

YFC has helped me to know that I have a perfect heavenly father and wonderful brothers and sisters in Christ. I am so excited with what God has been doing in my life that I have not missed one club meeting all year, even during COVID. I am so thankful that there are still online meetings and activities. I don't know where I would be without God, church and YFC. I could have been another statistic, but because of your support I am a daughter of God instead. "
