YFC Helps to Restore Hope in a Broken World
"My name is Keala and I’m going to be a freshman at Moanalua High. Life has been very dark and challenging for me, because my father was murdered three months ago. This shattered me and my family. I really miss my dad and it’s been hard to make sense of why he was taken from me. Now, I have hope since I’ve met Kai. He works for Youth for Christ and has been inviting me (and picking me up) to different outreach activities. The YFC staff always share from the Bible and it really encourages me when I learn about the love of Jesus and God’s plan for me. It’s been hard to talk about things at home, but at these outings I feel like I can open up because I have space to be myself. What affects me the most about these YFC events is the amount of people that are willing to open up to you and become your friend. I’m really grateful that these people are helping me go through life right now. Please help to open up the YFC club at my school."
